Roughly 35 ladies and 40 gents enjoy some pre-Christmas ultimate as the Black team and Dunkel (Red) win The Bowls, 2007.

This past weekend played host to The Bowls 2007. The cream of Irish ladies gathered in DCU for the Rose Bowl while the men gathered in Grangegorman (well, for a little while at least).

The Rose Bowl was won by the Black team after a close final against the white team. Spirit of the Game went to the Tree Huggers (Green) and the wooden spoon went to the Blue Berry Covered Muffin Tops (Blue).

Meanwhile, with the final abandoned due to poor weather, The Beer Bowl was won by Dunkel (Red). All teams played two good games to begin the day but then as gale force winds started to blow in the final group game for each team was played on one side line and frequently in one corner. It was this drastic turn in the weather that led to the final being abandoned. As much as we like
to think of ourselves as all weather athletes, player safety and actual enjoyment of playing must be considered at times like this.

As happened at the Co-Ed Slab, the extra food was donated to the St. Vincent de Paul homeless shelter, the Back Lane hostel, in Christchurch.
