National Teams

Irish National Teams at WUGC 2008

Ireland has competed at international competitions since 2000 when both open and mixed ultimate teams traveled to Hiellbron in Germany for the World Ultimate and Guts Championships.

Since then open and women's ultimate teams have competed at the European Ultimate Championships in 2003 and 2007 and also at return trips to the World Ultimate and Guts Championships in 2004 and 2008. It was at the 2004 WUGC that Ireland won an unprecidented spirit double with both teams taking home the prize.

Ireland has also competed at the World Championships of Beach Ultimate. 2004 saw an open team travel to Portugal and 2007 saw a mixed team compete in Brazil. In this same vain, Ireland was represented in the open division at the European Championships of Beach Ultimate 2008.

Ireland made it's guts debut at WUGC 2008 in Vancouver and just like all other national squads, is eagerly awaiting their next chance to compete on Europe and the Wold's highest stages.
