Weekly Report 01/02/07

Hi All,

Last weekend witnessed the Dublin Beginners Tournament in UCD. The final was contested by two school teams, an encouraging sign for the growth of Irish ultimate. Coláiste Eoin took the honours, defeating Gonzaga to lift the trophy. Spirit went to Sligo and Ro Sham Bo took the party prize back to Edinburgh .

This weekend, Winter League draws to a close, with the fight for the title taking place down in Cork . UCC, UCD and defending champions Broccoli can all still win. Up in Shankill, DIT, DCU, Gonzaga and Trinity will decide the rest of the placings.

The Sligo Wig of Shame tournament is back again, this year's edition will take place on 3/4 March. More information can be found at: http://www.freewebs.com/sligodisc"> face="Courier New" size=2> http://www.freewebs.com/sligodisc size=2> .

As part of Trinity's Green Week, the ultimate club is hosting a longest throw competition on the cricket pitch. Although the main competition is for non-frisbee folk, there will be a sub-competition in which players can take part. There will be a few prizes up for grabs, so head down to Trinity on Tuesday (6th) at 1pm .

There haven't been too many entries for the photo of the year competition, so the deadline has been extended by a week. Send your snaps in to ifdaphoto@gmail.com"> ifdaphoto@gmail.com as soon as possible.

Talk to you all soon,

David Misstear
