The current phase of this project is to develop a standard kit bag (equipment bag) to support the
programme, including discs and educational materials.

The scope of a kit bag is yet to be fully defined, but will probably be along
the lines of
- something that can be left in a community after an initial
face-to-face training with community leaders
- something that the children can take ownership of, rather than relying
on adults to teach them
- first edition aimed at children aged 13-17, since it will involve
leadership tasks that will require a certain amount of maturity
- needs to take into account potentially low levels of literacy
- needs to include a progression of leadership development tasks,
including for example
1. one-on-one coaching and feedback
2. group coaching (drill or session)
3. organising an internal game for the village/community
4. organising travelling to another village to play against another
group in the program
5. organising a tournament bringing together teams from a number of
neighbouring communities
6. ordering replacement equipment (in particular, discs)
7. reporting on activities, possibly through the internet
8. developing on-line communities/networks (if possible)

To help this project move forward, WFDF is in the process of forming a Task Force to take on the task of this kit bag over the next few months. If you would like to be involved in this project, and be in a position to contribute to a global initiative, please contact president@irishultimate.com.
